Final Classification

Action Press Automobile Club, Classic Clube de Portugal and Real Peña Motorista Vizcaya join to launch the Iberian Eco Rallye Challenge 2023. This event was created with the aim of encouraging participation in the three qualifying races for the FIA ​​ecoRally Cup which will be held throughout the season in the Iberian Peninsula.

The Renomar Eco Rally da Comunidade Valenciana, which will take place from March 3rd to 5th, will be the first of the valid races, followed by the Oeiras Eco Rally de Portugal in April and finally the Bilbao Petronor Eco Rally in September, where the names of the winners will be announced.

The Iberian Eco Rallye Challenge will reward the three best teams participating in the above events, with a simple regulation, where the points awarded by FIA in each race will be counted.

The president of the organizing committee of the Oeiras Eco Rally - Portugal, Paulo Almeida, points out that “the creation of an Iberian trophy will undoubtedly serve to show the commitment of the countries of the peninsula in building the path of the future of motor sport”. Along the same lines, his counterpart at the Eco Rallye Bilbao Petronor, Asier Madariaga, claims “It is a luxury to have three of the most relevant events in the FIA ​​ecoRally Cup on the Iberian Peninsula. Therefore, the launch of this trophy is yet another way to encourage the participation of geographically close teams and also achieve greater impact”

For his part, the president of the organizing committee of the Eco Rallye Renomar of the Valencian Community, Fernando Lobón, recognizes that "for us it is an honor to inaugurate this first edition of the Iberian Eco Rallye Challenge, an initiative that consolidates even more the three competitions of the iberian peninsula and that promotes the development of sustainable mobility and alternative energies through sport.
